Great value hotel with nice rooms in an upcoming, modern neighborhood with 10 min ride to Manhattan!
- What did you like most?I really liked this nice hotel away from the Manhattan crazyness. It’s a good alternative if you don’t wanna pay that much for the outdated Manhattan hotels. The place is in a new, upcoming (gentrified) neighborhood of Long Island City (LIC) with new highrises and bunch of shops, grocery stores and cafes around. Short walk from the hotel there is a subway station (Queensboro Plaza, N, W and 7 trains) and you can be in Manhattan in 10 minutes. There’s a Starbucks and big grocery store within 5 minutes. The hotel entrance is somewhat average and feels cheap but the front desk staff is very nice and the rooms are clean and large with nice view to Queensboro Bridge and Manhattans skyline. You can have cozy warm temperature in the room with the adjustable thermostat. The breakfast is complimentary and you can have the avarage American hotel breakfast (toast, croissants, bagels, scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, coffee etc) so you can start your day with a full stomach. Overall very good value for the price if you’re looking for quality alternatives to Manhattan while being still close to it in an upcoming young neighborhood.
